Shikukai Karate-Do International is an independent association with clubs throughout southern England and Europe. Chief Instructor, F Sugasawa Sensei 7th Dan Renshi, left Japan in 1978 to join a resident group of Japanese instructors in the UK dedicated to spreading traditional Wado Karate practice. Sugasawa Sensei is highly regarded for his knowledge, skill and teaching and he regularly conducts courses at home and abroad, including the annual Spring, Autumn and Winter weekend courses in May, October and February.
All Shikukai instructors are approved by Sugasawa Sensei and attend regular training sessions to further develop their understanding of Wado. Insurance for members is provided through Shikukai’s own policy provided by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc. Shikukai Karate-Do International is a member of the English Karate Federation.
